Well 3.73 and 3.92 have always been good all around gears. We have a Chevy truck with 3.42s and it's just a little slower off the line than my buddies '99 F-150.

 

3.42's......is it a 3 speed?

 

^ Nope. 4 speed auto w/ overdrive.

 

The Lightning is fast but it has a curb weight of about 4700 pounds so its not the lightest puppy on the block mine is pumping over 500 foot pounds of torque at the wheels so is great off the line put lacks a bit on top end. You can see a power loss at about 125mph but then again i just have simple basic mods on it. Another problem it has is traction given the bed is made of fiber glass all the weight is in the front, this some times mades it hard to deal with given all the torque it has the long wheel base pretty much keeps it in a straight line. Moroso has closed and not reopened so i plan on taking it to the strip for ***** and giggles i hope to run somewhere in the high 12's. The Supra runs high 9's but that one is under the knife at the moment i am changing my set up and sent my heads out to be machined.

Some one asked about the S4's problems... It went from o2 sensors to blinkers to turbos to my ECU acting up. I was going to fix it but felt it was just going to keep on happening so i jumped of the ship before it sank

Torque accelerates your car, Horsepower keeps it there! Judging 2 different automobiles and making and uneducated guess on who will win simply based on "Torque" is a fail!

 

Your face is a fail! You have to get "there" before you can use horsepower to keep you "there."
