I really don't care that much, as long as I can understand what you are trying to say. I mean I use slang all the time. It's just where we come from. I'm not gonna se Steeze a lot around here because few people probably grasp the concept but I use sick, wicked, gnar, etc. all the time.

so the answer to your original question is: It's just you and a few others occasionally....but mostly just you... actually, in fact..it's you pretty much completely. JK
BTW, whenever you see an edited message from me, it probably means I caught an error when I went back to read. That's about 90% of my messages. Look for one right after this one.

I do think the question was good, valid and well discussed.

To answer the question about being able to converse in other areas of the world, I spent 3.5 years in Europe and had no problem conversing. Of course it was all done in English.

It seems that the question struck a nerve with some, that was not my intent. I understand there are non-native English speaking people. I just was asking if it bothered anyone else. Apparently, I am about the only person it bothers, with maybe 2 others that could be bothered.

I make mistakes when typing as many do and don't claim to be perfect. I just get tired of seeing there when it is their that they meant and vice versa. Just a pet peeve. Just a question.

Thanks for all the input.

The cheese stands alone.

We all get "it," we were just giving you a hard time.

My pet peeve, when I was in Europe, was all the American complaining about how all teh Europeans didn't understand English.

FTR, I can spell better than most, but, my fingers are dyslexic (who's diea was it to spell that word THAT way, anyway??!?!?!?).

muphasta,
i kinda look at it like this....
you came to the party dressed in a suit, and we're all sittin around in jeans and t-shirts.
we all have suites in our closets, we just choose to hang out here in our comfy clothes.
don't take it the wrong way.

and fyi....sometimes jazz types in such ways that, it darn near takes a decade to read his post, let alonecomprehend the content.

Honestly the only ones that really bug me are "breaks" vs "brakes", the "thread" on tires (when the author means "tread"), and when people use ridiculous slang like "da" instead of "the" and "dis" instead of "this" when typing. Talk like an ignoramus if you like, but at least don't type that way. If you don't know the difference, leave the forum and go study third-grade grammar skills.
