ok not in the audi cuz my sister in law has it, but i was driving my brother jetta, i got pulled over cuz the registration expired, my bro is so stupid! ok but then i show the officer my Dl from Mex, (im legal here ok!) cuz my CA DL, expired 2 months ago, then he said that i cant drive with a Dl that is not from cali, but i the CALIFORNIA DRIVER HANDBOOK says that you can,

the reason i havent renew my Dl is cuz im gonna stay here 2 more weeks and im going back to mex cuz of school, i can only have a california DL for 6 months cuz thats the time im allowed to be here, after that i have to go back to mex get a 6 month permit at the border and then i can renew my Dl, any idea of how much i hav to pay or what should i do?

 

You should be able to drive with a Mexican drivers license. Police officers are not always well informed about people driving with out of country licenses. I would double check the law. You should be fine. If it were me I would drive with the Mexican drivers license.

 

Save yourself the trouble and take a cab or bus while you're in Ca.
A cab is probably gonna be cheaper than paying tickets and fines and save you the trouble of fighting it in court even if you are right.
