nope not bad at all those.. things are meant to be abused... not really... but they can take alot of abuse almost anythign you throw at them... I was watching this thing on youtube where some buy was running over his nano with his truck and it still worked fine... the video ones are not as durable tho since they run on a hard drive vs. digital storage like nano

ya it'll be no problem at all. heat would be my concern not cold. i completely abuse the 60GB video one that i got and its still works perfectly. its been dropped out of the window at 40mph and it was still fine (friend dropped it not me)

the real thing that you need to worry about damaging is the battery. Li-Ion batteries are pretty picky, and can be little bastards (hence the ipod lawsuit b/c they didn't properly explain to the general public that re-chargable batteries DON'T have an infinite life span).
I would check the manufacture specs of the battery, and as long as you're within that, you won't have to worry about messing with your battery. As long as your glove box isn't getting too far below zero, you should be ok. It's mostly heat that damages the life of these batteries, not cold.
