A friend of mine has a frame straightener. He pulls Jap, European, and American cars straight with little problems, except for Audis and a couple VW's. I was in his shop when he broke a chain rated at 15,000 lbs while straightening the one of the frame rails in the engine bay.
Another guy I know was doing triple digits and got clipped by a Jeep. He rolled 3 times and only had a small cut on his forehead and a bruise on the inside of his right forearm.
There's also the TT that got smashed by an overloaded dump truck and a bus. The driver walked away once they cut the car up enough for him to get out.

Cali law is wacked. Not because of what you said Ghetto, just because it is.
On that note, in NY, if its yellow, and you have time to stop, you stop. If its yellow and you can't stop, you drive thru, even if it means into a red. If you were to get pulled over, your defense is that you were already committed to the intersection. BUT if you try to accelerate thru a yellow, you're busted, game over.
Fun fact I recently learned. In VT, its LEGAL to pass pretty much anywhere it looks safe to do so, except where theres signs saying not to pass. The double yellow line doesn't have a lot of meaning except to tell you where the middle of the road is. ; )
