How crazy of an idea is that?
Biggest craft I've sailed is a Sunfish.Pretty muchthe smallest boat you normally see on a lake.So this would be a huge step up.
BTW, Im on Lake Champlain.
Figured live out of it for as many months as I can, and pick up a roommate in my apartment so rent will be cheap. I have a 2 bedroom, but its only me at this point.

Not safe looking because they have a big mast and they lean a bit in a good wind?
Hows this for counterweight. The rudder in the back to steer this one weighs 500lbs.
I've never thought of a sailboat as unsafe, except for those couple times on the sunfish when i wasn't paying attention and smacked myself in the face with that lower piece of tubing on the sail frame.

that's a totally different beast from a sunfish. sailing a sunfish is a BLAST and prolly the easiest boat to sail. i don't think i'd want to do it.

We have an wooden 27 footer we keep near Rock Hall MD, It's a blast. once I get enough $$ I'll definitely be buying my own. Sailing is way cooler than powerboats, once you try it......
