he couldnt do it on a snowboard?

 

he might have been able to but I'm not entirely sure, I know that skiers can usually go bigger because of how we land is different and less stressful on the joints then when you all land.



also if you look at the pipe for instance Skiers boost higher, and spin more than Snowboarders do. the highest a snowboarder went this year at the x games was like almost to a little over 20ft out I think and Simon Dumont went like 25 or something ridiculous like that.



but I will give it to snowboarders for coming up with some insane tricks, like that one kid who went all SSX on us and took his foot out of his binding on the last jump of the slopestyle course this year.

 

is the weight pretty equal for skis vs snowboards?

 

I;d say they are pretty similar but I'm not 100% sure



Also the thing I said about skiing and going bigger, it is just my experience so far, but I am not sure exactly if it is true, you would need someone more experienced in the field, (AKboy(sp), the guy from Colorodo who is a pro skiier and gets on every so often when he isn't skiing) for instance to tell you for sure.
