I must express my curiosity to more info on what exactly this is..? I can make my inferences based on the names that it would be a paint protector of some flavor, but beyond that... 'splain! :P

The clear film is basically a thin clear plastic sheet that is tripped around the body panels and shrunk to fit and adhere to the paint basically glue. It's to stop rock chips and stuff like that on the high damage areas (hood, bumper, mirrors etc)
On mine I basically clear filmed the full hood, bumpers (front and back), side skirts, A pillars, inside the door handle well, head lights and the strip between the sunroom and the windshield. Basically anything you can see when you look head on at the car is covered along with anywhere that gets hit by kicked up rocks from other cars or your own wheels.
Opticoat is another layer of protection, its basically like a permanent sealant/wax. It chemically bonds to the clear coat to form an addition layer of protection against UV, Dirt and other contaminants that chew up the paint.
