If I didn't get my Audi I would currently want to be driving an e36 325i.
Then the dream car would be an LP640. I love Lamborghini's, my neighbor has three and I'm relly jealous.

he is the son of the previous owner of Iam's dog food. When P&G bought them out a couple of years ago, he became really rich. he has A muria which he is completly restoring(along with fixing the wireing), a countach, and a Diablo. his DD is a lotus elise. So I don't think he really works anymore, just invests and enjoys life.

If I couldn't have 'my' audi... I'd get into a B6 A4.
If Audi didn't exist, I'd likely get into a BMW ... any of the Xi's I guess. The 335 is pretty sweet -- I am loving the look of it now (didn't initially like it).
I noticed a few people mentioning the Lexus IS series... I took the IS250awd out for a drive a couple months back. The verdict? Garbage. I specifically asked the salesman about the transmission before the drive... if it was an automatic shifted manually or a manual car shifted automatically (think DSG). He told me it was of the latter, and went on to talk about Lexus race cars. I was excited to get behind the wheel... and the moment I clicked the paddle the first time, I wanted to take it back to the dealer. It had nearly a full second of lag (like our tiptronic). The car just felt dead...
It did have some great features (the key never has to leave your pocket), rearview camera was sort of cool, it looked gorgeous, it was whisper quiet and seemed to handle alright... but yeah, BORING.
I'm just happy that Audi IS around, and I don't have to choose.
Oh, and I've driven lots of LT1 and LS1 F-bodies, and owned a couple... definitely won't be going back to that garbage. Corvette, maybe... but never again will I have a solid rear axle car.
