Thats against the policies of Visa/ Mastercard, call your card carrier and report them. Its true they pay a fee to accept those cards but thats something they as a business have to swallow. Not too sure if Amex and Discover are the same way but I'd assume so.

you wern't cheated.
you were charged normal price for using a credit card, but the gas was CHEAPER if you would have paid with cash. eleminates the processing fees they would have to pay
it is usually truck/large serivce stations that do that

I seen a report on CNN about this everyone is out of luck because it all depends in which state you live in whether it is required for the gas station to post the difference between credit and cash...

There's a 76 station close by my house that charges separate prices for cash/credit. They show both cash & credit prices on the price board that's out by the street.

As if the gas companies need to worry about a 1% difference. As long as they are gouging us for money, they might as well let us have our damned air miles or whatever.
