Why would you use iTunes to download your music @ 99 cents a shot, when you can go to www.allofmp3.com and download a whole CD for $1.50 from Russia...
Apple makes enough money just selling the iPod, they don't need to capatalize on the MP3 market as well...
Just my two cents...

Well, you are : ) Authorization is not like a roaming profile where you can log on and enjoy your music; rather, it is like a security feature (for Apple) to unlock your music which is already on your computer or shared network. I'm not going to claim infallibility.

perhaps if he still has the music on his ipod (as long as he doesn’t auto sync) he can download ephpod2 and load from the ipod to itunes. i’ve heard there is a way to do it.

I will agree that iTunes does make it easy for people to "Click it and forget it" in regards to music downloading. They sell the #1 portable music player. People are paying for the "Ease of Use", when they spend 99 cents for a song. However, if you know even the slightest about computers, you can figure out how to use the "Add Folder to Library" feature in iTunes, then simply drag and drop the songs onto your iPod.
Not to mention that the more you spend on AllofMP3.com the more they give you a discount on future payments. I'm at 10% bonus right now. I believe you can get up to a 30% bonus once you have spent $500 on their site. I don't see Apple offering anything like that for their hardcore members... What gives...? [&:]
