I had a couple issues with buying stuff off vortex. Both worked out like they should, but cost me some in the end.

One was i bought a clutch from someone and then it fell through, not only that, i accidently paid him twice. He luckily refunded me both amounts.

The other was i needed a replacement ko3s. Bought one, waited, waited somemore and nothing. I sent him a few messages on vortex and didnt get back to me. Since i needed one now i just bought another turbo and filed a paypal claim. He sent it the day before i was going to get refunded and sent me a message he had some issues and didnt get the chance to send it. So i ended up getting 2. But luckily i got just about all my cost back by selling it to someone on here and was out maybe $5-10 due to shipping costs

 

paypal isn't gonna save you (at least not completely).

lesson is, keep your guard up, unless you know the person.

I even had a friend get his paypal account hacked, they drained about $7K. Dunno if he ever got any of it back. More often though, you'll get something back, but not the total amount.
