Haha, can't argue with a double/triple salary increase. That shizza will change your life in so many ways... the car should be the icing.

yep. I do allright now as far as bills and rent & such, but I don't spend much extra, and don't save much either. So it'll be nice to have a real amount of money each month to sock away in savings, as well as be able to spend a little on myself.

Yup yup! That 'rent' bill could easily be upgraded to a mortgage. Bigger bill, but feels so much better. Save up for a bit and drop a big down on a house. Booya. I hope you get the job man! (is it still not certain?)

Exactly.

Nothing is certain yet, but it is very probable. A lot of union stuff (this one in particular)is as much about WHO you know as what you know. Fortunately I know a few people. If I don't make it in in this cycle, (which is unlikely) I'll still be in line for the next hiring cycle in 6 months.
