Well....I'm still in the clean up process here in Miami. Had no light until yesterday morning since Thursday at 9pm. This is nothing compared to what happened in New Orleans. Just imagining that waht we felt here was a Category 1 Hurricane...and they felt a Category 4. Been in Miami i'm pretty used to hurricanes, but i can imagine the frustration they are going thru right now.

4Dot, thankfully I'm not in New Orleans I'm in Germany. I got word today from a cousin in Florida that everybody's ok, but I'm still worried about a few relatives that decided to stay behind. Most of my relatives left New Orleans on Saturday before the evac order. If you noticed the new coverage, the majority of the damage was concentrated in the metro area which is heavily populated with a mix of the middle class and the poor. I'm still in disbelief and from what I hear, it could possibly take 2 months minimum to drain all that water. There are so many homeowners that do not have flood insurance. I think there will be so many deaths, and so far authorities haven't begin to count because there are some areas that's not accessible even by boat. That is truly an apocolyptic scene and IMO the lord had grudge with the Gulf coast, not only New Orleans but Slidell, Biloxi and parts of Alabama took the brunt of the storm.
My condolences and prayers extend to all who are affected by this Hurricane.

i work for a disastor restoration company and currently we are in the logistics phase of preparing to go down. From a restoration standpoint it will be 10 years before New Orleans is back to normal. its terrible whats happening there i cant wait to get down there and help
