Default how did 'the russian' paint is car?

Hey older AF members,

Do you remember when the russian painted his rally a4 to an olive drab green? what did he use to achieve that? was it just a rattlecan paint job?

Thanks for any help

yeah, I'm almost positive it was rattle cand, but he's still around a bit if you pop into the b5 section you can ask him yourself. Also he sold it though after he repainted it (if you didn't know)

They also sell military CARC (Chemical Agent Resistant Coating) paint that he may have done, but I wouldn't be suprised if it was a Krylon job.

I'm with CAB on this one - pretty sure it was rattlecan.

thanks guys, i'm going to do that to the car i may be getting tomorrow - its gonna be fantastic. (sarcasm or not? you tell me!)

this mystery car needs a clutch, but it is AWD and the po has a clutch kit for it - how much does it cost to replace a clutch normally? on that same token, could i do it myself?

Let this go on record that neither of us are copying each other. We're copying The Russian.

We could even go with zinc chromate primer like on airplanes. That would be fun.
