Well I am sure the Acura's is better for safety, although something all mechanical is likely better from a performance standpoint. Acura's is likely the most technologically advanced... as it is very, very computer controlled. Pretty impressive stuff, if you ask me -- although I'm still in an Audi, and would be even if I could afford the Acura. I think the Mazda uses a haldex system, which isn't that great... it's what they use in the A3 and R32 and everything else with transverse engines (the TT as well).
So quattro isn't even always that great, only the Torsen is really worth bragging about, and even then, it really isn't. It works famously well... but its old technology -- old but good. A very difficult topic though... hard to say which is "best".
