I was 98% ready to sign up for the Airforce. They liked me, smart guy, and small (theres a max height/weight to pilot a jet).
If they had a 2 year contract, I'd be flying right now, but I can't hold my attention to one thing for 4 F'n years, PLUS 2 years on standby or whatever it is.
I think about it everytime a F-14 roars low over the shop though, and that happens to be just about hourly. VT likes to fly their planes.

But that would be the best ******* job ever.

My uncle was Gung-ho to be a pilot, his whole life revolved around it, right after H.S. went in the Air Force, they discovered in him (and my dad as well) that they cant see certain shades of pink, Certain shades of reds and pinks blend together for them, so, he was a pencil pusher for a 4 star his whole career, based in Albuquerque, NM. he was bummed.
still fly's Cessna's tho, he is apart of our flying club here at Oregon State University, where his office is based for his job.
