Holy picture quality, Batman!
For Christmas, we got a PSP3 (mostly for the Blu-Ray feature) and a new Samsung 52" LCD 120hz tv.
Btw - stay away from Mitsubishi DLP sets - had ours just over two years went down three times - currently down and when it gets fixed I'm giving to my dad.
Man-oh-man! The picture quality on any of the HD channels and Blu-Ray (we got The Dark Knight) are almost too vivid!!! Almost 3D in the clarity.
Regualr DVDs are improved as well but still not as good.
We watch "The Bucket List" off HBO HD and when they traveled abroad it was amazing it felt like we were there... all through the movie my wife and I marvelled at the quality.
Just had to share!

Do you think the 120Hz sets are honestly worth the premium? I'm asking genuinely - I'm replacing my 48" flat-screen RPTV this coming year with an LCD and I'm curious if you feel the 120 is worth it costwise over a standard 1080p LCD.

It's funny on regular stations you still get the detail blur (when something is still you can see every freckle and wrinkle but if they move in the slightest they disappear). On the HD channels and Blu-Ray discs you see every detail even with motion.
I just wish the cable company would move up to 1080p instead of 1080i currently. Only DirectTV offers that kind of signal....
