dave, sorry for your loss. loosing a pet is definitely like loosing a family member. i have unfortunately had a few similar experiences with family pets, though most from old age.

Tess is now in the great doggie park in the sky, with unlimited bones and fire hydrants a plenty.

That's a really bad deal, Dave. I had a beautiful red Doberman a few years ago who had a cancerous growth in her midsection and we had to have her euthanized. It really was like loosing a part of our family; and we really had to rely on each other for support for a long time after that, getting used to her being gone. I hope you can find a way through this difficult time, and know that all of us are here for you.

Dave, I' sorry to hear that. As a fellow animal owner and love I know I am going to be devastated when my dog passes away. He was sick recently with kidney stones and I was so depressed. I love him.

well dave, although we don't really"know" the people here, we grow to have certain bonds with eachother. and, as caring human beings, it's only natural to reach out to someone in pain (what ever that may be). your sorrows can't be washed away, but the fact that others care can hopefully lighten the burdon.
