ORIGINAL: Amze

kI think some personal choices of mine are:

1996-1998 240SX (Below 80k miles, if you can find it) - Awesome car, friend owns one, really a blast to drive.. more fun than my Audi in a wierd aspect

1990's, Integra Type R's... Those cars are modify-able and have enough get go out of the box to take stock A4's (easy to find in stick, as is the 240)

2000 Volkswagon Jetta GLI (V6) - Might be over your budget but still a cool car

Hmmm.. Thats what I'd look after.. If not those then

2000 Honda Civic SI (they're ALL stick)

Thats my opinion, I'm also younger. Good luck
Good suggestions for the most part. I personally hate FWD. But if that's your thing, hey..... I highly recommend the Nissan 240SX, even older ones. Cheap, reliable, easy to find and modify. Nissan 300ZX would also be a good choice, as someone else mentioned. You REALLY need to tell us how much you can spend, though.
