When the burn is finished, does it ask if you want to close out the session and format... (in a specific format)?

I don't have a dvd burner but I know CD burners used to ask that question, years ago, before a specific format was agreed upon and used by all.

they usually say on the player itself, right in the front...usually it's in semi-inconspicuous letters, it will list all the compatible formats (DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, VCD, CD, MP3, JPEG, etc.)
