So i was sitting in the back of our Jeep Cherokee at a red light waiting to make a left. Then there was a red Ford Probe in the center lane with double white racing stripes, chrome wheels, tint, and a fart can muffler; and to the right of him was a stock Saturn sedan (def not the ion redline or anything totally fast and furious like that). So the Probe guy was ssuucchhaa hot shot reving every 2 seconds at the red, inching into the intersection as far as he possibly could without getting hit. And when the green hit he tried to race the Saturn...and the Saturn pulled on him and was infront of him as the lanes merged!! hahahaha take that Ford Probe [8D]

I heard something amusing not long ago related to Probes. A friend of mine went to a lecture where a Scion marketing manager spoke about automotive marketing, and during his speech he mentioned that the Probe was the first car designed for and marketed to women. I now have to laugh every time a wannabe street racer pulls up in one.

 

Last weekend a Ford dealer generously gave me a $100 trade-in allowance on my daughter's '96 Probe GT- and that was with $350 worth of fairly new tires on it.
(We drove it in, but it DID need a new transaxle)

 

one of my close friends has a ford probe. its a piece of **** but its sturdy as hell!
