For around $550, you can get a nice Glock 19c brand new. The compensated model is only a tiny bit more than the non, and its def worth it as it would cost alot to have it done to a regular 19 non "C"...
Great 9mm, bout 500 bucks, cant go wrong. GL

a week ago i shot a pistol that fired 410 shells. goofy looking with a cylinder as long as the barrel. that mini 9... $450. its semi auto only, but good for bump firing. im mainly focused on shooting as many guns under $500 i can find. i wish i could afford a S&W. Dan Wessons old gun shop was 500 feet down the road from where i used to work in NY. ever have a problem, take it to the source! Think its CZ owned now though.

heeey, remember this thread? I forgot about it.
I believe it was announced in the carry thread that I ended up with a Ruger P345. The .45 is fun, but expensive, so I figured if I was gonna blow money, I might as well do it right.
Thinkin next up will either be a SIG P226 or a HK USP in .40
Or a 444 Marlin, because gigantic rifles are also fun.
I also found a S&W 500 for $1045, but at $60 for 20 rounds... ehhhh, a little too pricey. Plus, if I break my wrists I'm gonna have a hard time doing stuff at work...
Thoughts?

Personally I don't agree with a few of their picks but as with any "best of" list a lot of it's subjective. My dad's Sig P226 9mm is capable of tight groups at 100 yds. with no modifications. It was also a top pick pistol for the Navy SEALs. My buddy's HK is almost as good.

I have a Sig 226 and it's just about perfect. My wife has a Dan Wesson Razorback 10 mm. Beautiful gun but truly stupid to shoot (ammo is too expensive). Always get things you can afford to practice with because being proficient with a 9 is better than having a .500 magnum that you flinch and jerk every shot with.

i have an hk usp ct in .45 and a sig p239 in 357 sig. love them both. im very picky when it comes to pistols because i carry them and if i need to i can bet my life on them. there are things you can go cheap on, guns for personal protection and a good brain bucket are not some of them!
