Default Got an idea for my car..need opinions, feedback, & advice

So I got a 86 Audi 4000s that I want to do alot with kinda make it look like a beater but has ***** ya kno lol but neways once I get it running again, I had many ideas for it but was not to sure which route to take and if certain routes are not even worth it ya know?

Idea 1:
Engine Swap - either 1.8t B5 engine | 1995 Audi 90 engine N/A | or buy another 4000s or cs or even the 5000 engine

Also need to know where I can find out if my car can mount any of these without modification.

Idea 2:
Port & Polish(I really like this idea)

Idea 3: Going along with the port & polish is rebuild the engine(nothing majorily wrong with it so dont think that)
I was thinking of replacing also my whole wire harness..just to get fresh good wires

There is a bit more but this is where I want to share details with to read what anyone says and go from there of what else..

So any help will be appreciated

find a 10vt or 20vt inline-5 engine out of any older audi - that will be the best possible solution. I'd look for one from a 200 Turbo or a 1992-1995.5 s4/s6

well, a P&P would increase airflow which would gain HP,but I'm not sure how much.

what kinda budget are we looking at (if you don't mind me asking)

Well pretty much it depends on what I want done and is practical for me..
I own a house by myself, starting college in Oct., and just plain bills..
So I couldn't tell you how much necessarily but if you want a number most likely I would spend 'now' maybe 3gz tops.
