Default Got a digital SLR for christmas (56k don't try it)

I got a Nikon D50 D-SLR. Also got a 75-300mm lens for it. We went to the zoo the other day to take some pics, here are a few of my favorites. Any photography guys out there, feel free to critique, I'm still trying to learn. Oh, and the little spec on a few of the pics was a piece of plastic on the image sensor, didn't notice it till I was half done shooting.

And a few with some post-processing done:

Wow! Those look great. Love the one with the rhinos.

Now go to a car show with that bad boy.

Thanks for the compliments guys.

pturbo- I love shooting cars, but every time I try to shoot at a show, I can never get a shot I like[:@] Usually with cars I like to have a cool setting and I like to take the time to set up an interesting shot. Just can't really do that at a show.

My brother is crazy with his SLR... he is upgrading soon as well... Canon 20D I think.

Some awesome stuff there. My dad has a Canon 350D, not near as nice as a 20D, but I still enjoyed playing with it before I got my Nikon.

Yeah he takes some crazy good pictures... I often leave stuff in his "tip jar" haha! Right now he has the EOS digital rebel... entry level Canon SLR. The 20D will own.

Oh and you can see my bee! I took that one! http://offtone.com/archive/photography
