That story is so old.

Anyway, it has nothing to do with the car, it's the dealer. BMW NA has nothing to due with the Dealer. There all independent, so BMW NA can not tell the dealer what to do.

Just like Audi, there are good ones, & bad ones. Hell my local Audi dealer SUCKS! They charged me $1000 (60kmi service & replace the spider hose), my CEL came on as I was leaving the Dealers lot. Are they responsible? Nope, it's my car now, it's my fault for not having the car checked out & knowing anything about Audi's. This same dealer also charged me $400 for a new remote key & lastly $30 for a bottle of coolant.

In comparison, my local BMW Dealer knows me by name, gives me a BMW CCA discount, takes the time to help me, and has done for free.

In the end, the dealer should have bent over backwards to help the guy, but he also expected the dealer to kiss his ***, & when it didn't happen he got pissed.

That's true, it's all about being diplomatic. It's ten times easier to get something from someone if you can make them want to help you rather than just telling them to do it for you.

My Audi dealer blows as well, when I got my car he was explaining how to calculate my avg gas milage using the tripometer and pen and paper meanwhile if u scroll the computer it tells you. What a retard.
