Man, and people wonder how serial killers and rapist and crazy stuff like that happen. Some people are literally disconnected from reality it seems.

If that was in the U.S., insurance should have covered fixing his car, even if it was 100% his fault. Maybe things are a little different in Spain. Guy sounds like someone should take away his humanity card.
European insurance companies opperate under slightly different rules. But, read teh fine print in your policy! I do not think US insurance companies are obligated to pay for your willful negligence, either. They all DO, naturally, or people would quickly swithc to whatever company DOES pay for my negligence... So, it's a business decision, basically.

You could, of course test my theory by deliberately running yoru car through your local mall, then filing a claim...
