Garage mahal
I'm bet some people on AF have awesome work spaces for your projects. I do not... I have a driveway that I do all of my work in - often at night with a head lamp. Let's see the best and the worst of the spaces where we work on our cars, show 'em off here! (apologies if this has been done before on this forum - flame as needed)

IDT anyones ever thought of this, before. Congrats on a (*rare*) original idea. Next time I dismantle some part of my car in the parking lot in front of my apartment building I will snap some piccys with my trusty camera-phone and post them up.

In the army we have what are called Auto Craft Centers- fully stocked, multiple-bay (with lifts)garages you can rent for like 7 bucks an hour and there are ASC techs who run the place if you need help with something or are retarded (as is my case most of the time)...

Back in *my* day the ASC's (so-called Auto Skill Centers) cost, like $1.50/hour... $2.00/hr when I got off AD the 1st time, back in '93. Inflation, I guess. I *cured* a small portion of my retardedness, back there/then!

RE: Garage mahal
Man... I'm lucky to have a garage, although its not that big and my tool supply currently is pretty weak sauce. I fantasize about winning the lottery and having my own "mechanic" bay with a real lift and everything.... My R8 would look sweet in it too... ahhhh fantasy...
I'll post a pic of my pathetic (put luckier than some of you guys) setup next time I'm wrenching away (probably this weekend).
This was a good idea. I feel lucky to have a garage, but I was a mechanic in the Corps and still feel gipped. It sure was convenient to have access to any tool you could need pretty much, and the space to do the work in (as long as you got it done over the weekend before the Gunny came in Monday!) I rebuilt a Ford LTD engine one weekend and damn that one was cutting it close!

At my family's house in NY, I have full access to this...
But since my move to South Jersey my garage has, well... downgraded...
This was my first time using a jack to change all 4 wheels... I grew up with that garage!
