the Dodge of German Cars? that guy needs a good bitchslap haha. First off, i think he meant FORD. and second, no chance.
I know Audi and VW have ties, but people need to stop assuming theyre the same cars. its like the difference between toyota and lexus but to a higher level. Same company, different car.

I raced and S4 on a twisty highway and kept right up with him. About 115-120mph. BMW's handling > S4 IMO. He beat me once it became straight though
I mean maybe on some rediculous windy road he MIGHT have a chance of eeping up. but HIGHWAYS only get so twisty

MY BROTHER JUST PURCHASED A 2006 M3 STICK AND I HAD BOUGHT MY 2000 S4 AND WE RACED I GOT HIM IN FIRST BUT AFTER THAT HE WAS AHEAD OF ME BY A CAR MAYBE A CAR AND AHALF I CAN'T WAIT TILL THE K04 COME A BLOWIN I WILL MAKE HIM SOOO MAD IT WILL FEEL SOOOOO GOOD....... M3 ARE GOOD CARS BUT EVERYONE HAS ONE , NOW HOW OFTEN DO YOU SEE A S4 !!!!

The problem with the M3 is that it takes a really really good driver to get the absolute most out of it, as it's not really a very forgiving car. The S4, any idiot can haul *** in it and it will reward you by making you feel like a great driver no matter how ham-fisted you are. So with equally bad drivers, the S4 will rock the top spot, but with equally good drivers, I think the M3 with whomp up. I suppose than means the S4 is the better street car, and the M3 is the better track car.
They're just two entirely different driving experiences, I'm surprised that people compare them all of the time. The S4 is hauling *** while coddling you in total confidence, the M3 requires you to be on the ball more than you've ever been before.
Of course, the E36 M3 is a dumb coupe as you expect so much more from it, but a really neat sedan because it's more than you expect.. Funny how that works.
And twins roxorz, BLUE RENEGADE.

I had a friend with an M3 and driving around with the traction and stability control on, he thought he was Michael Schumacher. He took it out on the Nuremburger (sp?) Ring with the TC and DSC off and rolled it in less than 15 minutes. $50 grand became a ball of metal in less than 5 seconds. That's unforgiving.
