i mean, sure it's nice when they help you open your car if you are locked out, but it's not like the taxes we pay don't provide the cops with their posh salaries.

like panda said, without them there would be utter chaos. some people lack the common sense required to have a peaceful civilization, so we need police to keep them in check.
as a lifeguard, i know what it's like to have to enforce rules. they don't make up the rules, but they have the job of enforcing the rules given to them.

once a cop steps in to break up a fight you got into to save your girlfriend, you'll be much more appreciative of their services.

...when you park illegally, and you get towed, it's the cops fault? If it is, they must have parked your car there or ordered you to park there. In that case, you have a great case for entrapment, as well as an opportunity for a large civil rights case (they illegally siezed your property). If anything, you should be thanking them that they entrapped and violated your rights because now you should looking at a 5 million dollar settlement.

Oh wait, you parked illegally, so it was your fault it got towed. Dang, things are never the same when people take a little personal responsibility.

never said it was their fault, i kno its my dumb *** fualt for not reading the sign clearly, i just wish they just gave a ticket only instead of towing and a ticket + impound fees and the fear of the well being of your car.

 

Cameron - stop defending cops! Why rub it in the poor guys face.

And for the record- cops should be out busting drug dealers or something NOT towing your damn car! Thats a waste of tax money.
