Yeah that REALLY sucks. I have been fortunate enough in my 5 years of driving to never get a speeding ticket. [sm=wootwoot.gif]I guess I can say that I am very observant. But actually just Lucky. haha

haha. NOTHING like a responsible person. I take very good care of my car but my boyfriend always says I act like im in a race car. lol. I have been VERY VERY lucky and knock on wood each time I say I have never been pulled over. My day will come though

 

There will be no radar readin im pretty sure it was just the cop followin us. Could be wrong but my friends radar detector didnt go off so i dont think it was radar. It would have at least gone off when the cop clocked us.

 

in the UK the system has to be checked each day and be certified so he would have a record ( and your entitled to see the certificate for proof of calibration ) so know your rights

 

He was pacing you. For all the people with this misconception let me clear it up, we DO NOT have to show you the laser gun and what speed we clocked you at. We don't have to do anything you ask until you are arrested, even then all we do is read you your rights andlet you call an attorney.If you two were really going 85 and not 100 that sucks, but regardless your friend could have gotten charged with a lot more (reckless driving etc) and even arrested. It's ok to be mad that he was charged with a higher speed than he was goin, but he was goin pretty damn fast to begin with and he got caught. It's gonna happen

 

and that's where the UK laws differ and are better ( we have rights before we are charged ) then we can agree or otherwise, if caught you know the situation and whats going to happen but what ever happened to a lenient society where the law isn't seen as a military government, I totally agree though it was twice the speed limit
