RE: found an entrance to tunnels under campus
Jazz!! OMG how true, how true.
i laughed all the way cuz i did all that stuff. of course in my hood, it was hide and seek! my dad built us go carts, a realoutside play house, a tire swing, stilts. you name it.
we lived near these steep rock cliffs that we called "the canyon", complete with what we thought was "deadly quick sand" that we avoided at all costs. i think it was just a mud puddle with an active spring under neath that kept it muddy.
anyway....those were the good old days.
i got to enjoy all that as a kid AND experience the college that Swaynest so eloquently depicted above.......and
THAT'S WHY I'M SO SMART!

Yohan - If you plan on doin' some exploring, don't be surprised if there are more security measures in place now. This is a PUBLIC forum, after all. Administration may get wind of the increased interest. (I would put up this thread AFTER I checked it all out.)

well today i talked to my buddy who's a sophmore here, and he said his old RA went down there before, and that it was definately worth it. it sound like you could spend HOURS down there exploring the tunnels system, and he also said they connect with the bomb shelters and storage/machinerooms under campus. i googled it, and came across an old article that says there is over 7.75 MILES of tunnels under our campus! sounds pretty cool to me so i think we're gonna go for it. i asked around, and it seems like the worst yuo could get would be probation or a criminal trespassing fine. we're gonna go down the next semester though, because i have to focus on finals and don't have the luxury to waste my time poking around a restrictedarea in the the wee hours of the morning. but when we do go, i'll be sure to take a lot of pictures so everyone can see what we discover down there.

Make sure you guys do up a nice D&D-style map, and post that up, too!
Oh, and, wear garlic and take a silver stake with you, in case you see a vampire or a warewolf... Don't forget to wear some depends, in case you see a Zombie, LoL!

RE: found an entrance to tunnels under campus
There's an old abandoned mental hospital not far from me with tunnels under it. It's creepy as hell too. That place looks like everyone left work one day and never came back. All the equipment is still there. Oh, if they catch you there it's trespassing.
And watch out, a common trick for catching folks in tunnels is to leave those little firecrackers that pop when they hit things laying around on the ground. They're pretty friggin loud in a silent tunnel when someone steps on them.
