Ford seems to be selling Jaguar and Land Rover to an India based Tata Motors, LTD.... good, bad, what's your opinion?

I'm kind of mixed on this, not sure if it's a good or bad thing *shrugs* at least Ford doesn't own them anymore

 

Yeah, eff ford.

But I hate landrovers so I could give a crap about those.

 

Hmmm... I thought this deal went down a while ago I dunno why its barely making news. Yeah Ford is a broke *** company and the worse of the American automakers. ****-poor quality vehicles and the last Ford I would've bought was in 2002 when they stopped offering the 7.3 PowerStroke diesel and that wasn't even a Ford. It was an International. Jaguars are ok and Land Rovers are pretty bad *** IMHO. Volvo is gone too. Ford is finished!

 

Yeah, I'd have to agree that Ford is finito and has been on that track for quite some time. Land Rover (I used to wond the Discovery II) sucks ***** and are nothing but problems so along with Amze I could give two ***** less what happens to them and Jag's are pretty tight IMO, it's going be interesting to see what happens.

 

wow tata motor company, not that i dont like the tata safari we had back in teh old country but for some reason i just cant imagine jags and rovers eventually be driven around teh indian sub continent.

 

hopefully the will use better metal than we use so they dont rust like buggery ( typical Brit car rusts faster than its speed )

 

Yeah I don't mind Jaguars, capable of being nice cars.

My dad has an 07 Mustang GT, with body kit.. very unique. Some performance mods, its a SUPER fun car don't get me wrong.

But idk.. I've never been a big American Car guy, it seems like GM is on the right track and Ford is falling deeper down the debt well. I wonder if they will vere recover

 

Land Rovers used to be the s*** back in the day when they weren't owned by Ford. My grandma had an old Range, and she and my g-pa would go up waterfalls, and over the arches in Utah in them. Literally go anywhere do anything vehicles. Sure that was possible in a p38 but try that in a Mk III and a message would probably flash across the nav screen that says "wtf this red dust is gonna clash with my 22" chrome giovannas". So I think a company like Tata would only be able to bring good things to LR.

I think Chrysler is worse than Ford... Not that either are good... I'm just sayin'.
