Any of you guys use Firefox for your internet browser?
Holy crap, I just switched from IE to Firefox. Browsing is faster, cleaner, more popups blocked, tabbed windows...
I would recommend.

no - I do not have any shares or work for firefox.

I use it at work to test webpage compatability. You should download addblock. You can select adds to have the browser remove, so you never see them. I find IE to be faster though on my workstation. You don't have to worry about spyware with firefox though.

I've been using it since it came out, I was sick of adware and viruses slowing down my laptop. Its been great and I recommend it to everyone.

Hmmm, never tried it. I'm downloading now though. I primarily use Netscape 7.2, but I'm forced to use IE for a few work related things because of compatibility issues. Anyone tried Mozilla? I've heard that is a good one as well.

Yep I love it:

Here's a little tweak for it, I created an optimized user profile and did the browser bar shortcuts.

The browser bar shortcuts idea is from Opera and the speed up is from various tweak sites.

Here is what i have done. It has only been tested on v 1.0. If it doesn't work just delete the files.

here is the rar file.

There are two files in it.

The first is a user.js file. Browse to find your prefs.js file.
Mine is located here: E:\Program Files\Mozilla firefox\defaults\profile

Move the user.js file to that folder. You do NOT have to change the prefs.js file, user.js will take priority when FF loads.

Now the second file (you don't have to use this, purely optional and does not affect performance):

bookmark.html file. Save that to a location. Once saved go to bookmarks, manage bookmarks, file, import, from file, choose the bookmark.html file. Now your browser bar has these shortcuts.

Type "d <search query>" in the Location Bar to perform a search on download.com.com.

Type "e <search query>" in the Location Bar to perform a search on search.eBay.com.

Type "g <search query>" in the Location Bar to perform a search on www.google.com.

Type "gi <search query>" in the Location Bar to perform a search on images.google.com.

Type "gn <search query>" in the Location Bar to perform a search on news.google.com.

Type "n <search query>" in the Location Bar to perform a search on www.newegg.com.

Type "p <search query>" in the Location Bar to perform a search on castle.pricewatch.com.

Type "r <search query>" in the Location Bar to perform a search on registar.com.

Type "w <search query>" in the Location Bar to perform a search on dictionary.reference.com.

Type "y <search query>" in the Location Bar to perform a search on search.yahoo.com.

So as an example, in your browser address bar if you type

"e Audi A4" without the quotes, you will be taken to the ebay search results for all items that have audi a4 in it.
