Somehow, even though I actually live on a boat, I don't own boat shoes.

But I will be joining the motorcycle ranks soon. I'll be buying a early 2000's Kawasaki Vulcan 800. $2000, 7000 miles on it, with a cover and 3 helmets.

I'd buy a sport bike like you guise, but it would only be a matter of hours before I tried to pull something stupid and end up with a bike like the first pic...

A pair of flip flops that is. How's the boat coming along by the way? Ready to host an AF party on it yet?

Chris - Does "wrenching like a sir" include keeping an exhaust in the trunk and never installing it? You know we're gonna keep going right?

I cut the front 8ft of the boat off a few weeks ago.
I had built a new bow section over the winter, and now I'm in the process of trying to put the new bow on.

Kinda tough when you're working with a 500lb chunk of steel that needs to be lifted into place repeatedly for test fit before weld, and you're working by yourself, but I'm making progress.

New additions this year include a propane furnace for cold nights, a propane fridge so I don't have to deal with ice blocks and warm beer anymore, underwater lights for mood enhancement when it comes to sexy time in the water with my lady friend, and a broad spectrum audio transducer.

Whats a broad spectrum audio transducer you ask?

Short answer: I'll be able to listen to music (clearly) underwater.

Last years additions were a flash water heater, a fancy faucet and a replumbed sink in the galley, and new countertops.

Should have my galley renovations finished this summer as well, which will leave the head and the bunks in need of dressing up.

Currently set up with 4 bunks, 2 on each side. Problem is, I want to retain the ability to sleep a few people on board for when my brother and some friends come up with the jetskis in the summer, but at the same time, a 2ft wide bunk, with another bunk 30 inches over your head is unacceptable for sexy time with my lady friend.
I need to design some sort of hide-away queen size bed.
Either fold up the narrow bunks and have a queen, or fold up the queen, and once locked in place, I'll have 2 narrow bunks hinged to the back side of it.

To answer your question about an AF party. Once she's floating, if you don't mind some holes in the wall, come on up.

I had 22 people on board last summer, and we went from Malletts Bay, Vermont, across to Valcour Island, NY, and camped for the weekend.

Many beers were consumed and assorted meats were grilled.

I've got pics up of the new bow construction on G+, if you're motivated and interested.

Strong work on the new bow section for the boat. Looks like the old one was ready to be replaced even before the crack. I think I need a tetanus shot just from looking at the pics

450lbs of rust basically. Made $40 off it at the scrap yard.
