Yeah, but the purpose of the FXX isn't so much style (although with anything from Ferrari, that's a factor) - it's reputed to be a rolling test bed for the successor to the Enzo. It wouldn't surprise me if the reason the tailpipes are up high is that it's a more direct path out of the car from the headers. The car makes like 800hp, and with a 7-figure pricetag, I'm sure they didn't cut any corners on the development. Most likely that was the most efficient way of getting the exhaust out of the car.

It blows me away that this country, being as **** as it is about certain vehicle laws (ie, the CARB exemption number requirement in CA, for example), allows cars like this to be licensed for street use. I'm not sure I'd risk a run to the store for smokes without wearing a helmet...
