we got freakin screwed over we dont have the SR20DET we have the damn KA24DE that only makes 155HP and 160TQ
the SR20DET is a fad riceboy. unless you're building an all motor 240.. the KA24DE handles boost like a CHAMP
SR20DET is not fad its a better engine wit more potential, its designed to take boost, im sure the KA24DE can handle boost but i rather have the SR20DET

...that's why i called you riceboy, riceboy. the SR20DET is a fad. the SR20DET has waaaaay less potential than the KA24DE when you start boosting.

he's right, the ka handels boost gr8, but since the genious' at nissan in japan BUILT the sr for boost, im sorry to say, handles power way better...

my buddy who is an importer for car parts from japan has a s14 with an sr with a fekin s15 turbo in it, i think his recent dyno was somewhere up around the 700hp range (toally insane)

if u tried to make that kind of power with the ka, u'd blow a hole in the block (0wn3d...)

if i were to buy a 240 here in the states, i'd just turbo the ka, cuz with some tuning u could kill any stock sr...

i dunno about that man... the ka internals are much stronger than the sr internals. i have a buddy tuning a ka... and he definatly passed on an opportunity at the sr for that exact reason...

edit: maaaaaaybe the sr was designed for boost in the intake layout and manifold setup... but when we're talking stock internals... the ka KILLS the sr

They had Calibras over here? Now I never knew that!! My mate used to have the 4x4 turbo. Great car. very quick, and comfy inside. The diffs were not the greatest on the planet though! I think it was a Calibra, (hardly stock though), that won one of the streetcar drag championship things a year or so ago. Hey... On the opel side, I used to have a race prepped Mk1 astra! Just 145 bhp, but by god that thing was friggin fast. Was used in the Lumenition Roadsalon championship a few years back. Stripped, roll cage, short shift, quick rack, peter Maiden head, 16v brakes, Leda suspensuion, the LOT!! Was great for the mountain roads in wales. Used to beat the crap out of scoobies up there!

Nah, neva had Calibras here. I had mine when I was stationed in Germany, about ha;f a dozen years ago. Usta LUV pivkin on da Beemers & Mercs roamin between Mannheim & Weisbaden, Heidelberg & Frankfurt, and Laudenbach (home) & Stuttgart (work). The Beemers & Mercs were governed @ 155mph. I WASN'T!!! 110mph in pourin rain and steady as a ROCK all the way. Entrance ramps (the 270deg loops) @ 80mph (50mph in teh rain[:@])... Schitt son, if I cudda brought it back I wudda. Phugkin rules & regulations [:@] wudn't permit it... I miss her sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!!!

yup... Know what you mean. Would have loved to have brought my beloved tubby back with me, but US legislation is not nice! just to much hassle. Would have been nice seeing my little baby run against US cars, as we don't have them at home.
