On Monday I'm meeting with the FBI in Dallas to find out what is required to join. I am really interested in field work and eventually the Hostage Rescue Team. I think I'm going to join the Army or Marines (debate the +- of each) after graduation in December to get my military exp. Do that for 3-4 years then move to the FBI, I'm also thinking about the CIA or some other govt agency.

I think a few years in the military will get my A game in shape. I have been doing a lot of running and racquetball to get in shape and shooting just about every weekend with my ar, .308 and pistols. only thing im missing is weekly practice with a shot gun.
everything is going good but my parents are not to happy with the decision. got to figure out a way to get them in line with me

Go here: http://www.fbijobs.gov/ and here: https://www.cia.gov/careers/index.html and follow the instructions, if you are serious.
Just be careful about who you tell and what those who know what you are doing tell others (to include friends in e-mail or on the internet) while you are following those processes. Especially with the CIA. Discretion is a big piece of determining whether or not you can keep your mouth shut and whether or not you need to brag about yourself to feel good.
Good luck, in either case.

^^^ no kidding. When my brother was undergoing the 6-month investigation for his security clearances (USMC Captain now, 2nd Lt at the time), they talked to EVERYONE - grade school teachers, neighbors from every place we had lived, former classmates and employers he had, you name it. Everyone down to the paperboy had a say.
