rotary... amazing power for such little displacement. only one direction of motion so that less power is consumed by change in direction. unlimited redline (within reason) if they would put more research into it(and if ford didn't own mazda) it could nearly surpase anything.

yeah pretty much, with the exception of the rotary, is it a beautiful , yes from a engineering stand point but its really gay in cars, mainly mazdas, and i will never consider amazda unless the full name is mazdaspeed. and it has a turbo

 

I added the VR6 to the list, V twins and Flat 2's are going to stay out because this is a comparison on modern day car engines.
