Default The fastest way to brake?

Hi guy- Long time no see...

Ok, my question may sound stupid but think about this for a second. If I am on a track and need to stop in the fastest way my car can stop (lets pretend its a normal street car and not a race car), is the fastest way to stop flooring the brakes and letting ABS do its job? Or is ABS not as efficient as threshold braking? So if im on a track what should I use? Is there danger in repeatedly using ABS for each corner in the long run?

threshold breaking will bring you to a stop quicker because it is right at the point of locking the breaks up, so it does the best job. I forget where I read it but it was a researched thing and they found threshold breaking to be better.

Technically a drift would take a longer time to slow the car.

CAB-
In the the research did they do a test to see if threshold braking done by a human is faster than ABS? Or is it based off the definition of threshold braking being the largest amount of force that the tires can apply before locking into a skid?

threshold braking for sure.

ABS is only there to give panic drivers a chance at steering while they're standing on their brake pedal. Otherwise they'd lock their wheels, and skid straight into that bus full of nuns and leper children. Otherwise, ABS is dumb, and actually increases stopping distance.

the second part, it is a more efficient way to break and will be shorter than with ABS, personally (I don't like ABS, i think it just adds weight, people should just have to learn to brake properly)

Technically it would allow him to take the curve at a higher rate of speed, never the less i was joking

well asuming you dont wnat to take off the abs (itll kill your EDL) just stand up on the brakes and steer away from whatever you may hit.
