Explosions are awesome!
O.k Now heres a quick break down... I live in Las Vegas... thats about it.
Well tonight was the last night that the Frontier Casino was standing.
I've lived here for 12 years and had the chance to see a few implosions but never went.
Now when they normally do these things theres fireworks and a lot of people tailgate on the rooftops of the parking garages surronding the doomed casino. The fireworks were insane and the implosion was crazy, I have never seen so much dust flying at me.
It was just an amzing experience.
I would recommend if anyone can make it to Las Vegas when the Stratosphere is going down
U NEED TO MAKE IT HERE! They say maybe within the next 3 years it'll happen. (its the tallest casino in Las Vegas)
My buddy has his own website on all of the Casinos that have left this city with a lot of good pics and video.

Nice fireworks show, lasted way longer the the demolition
I saw the Hacienda go down (which is now Mandalay Bay)in the mid 90's, it was on a new year's eve. I have a video of it somewhere at home. It was the first demolition I've experienced and it was great!!

funny, the wife and I stayed there last year - it was cheap - both in price and service. We just went back to LV (stayed at teh Excaliber this time) three weekends ago and saw it was shutdown and heard this morning that it was demolished. Would have been nice to see it go.

I can only imagine seeing a stadium go down, crazy. The explosion itself was ridiculously loud, and as far as the stratosphere goes the casino was sold to new owners a few years ago that have watched popularity and business drop steady. I have only heard rumors but it seems like a real possibility within the next 3-5 years. I cant figure out how they'll drop that thing its freakin' huge.
