I dressed up the other day to go buy a sportcoat. Had throttlebody trouble and didn't actually make it to the store, but I did take care of my TT pics for the day.

Go spend atleast $40 on a tie and get one that doesnt look like its from target. I'm not hating i'm just helping, I'm not going to lie to you.

I agree you cant wear black on black and that wouldnt be my first choice in tie (and yes I there is a picture of me dressed up in the guys of AF calendar) that being said dressing up to me means making yourself more confident. Whether it means all black or seersucker suit with a bow tie. I am just about as preppy as you can get when it comes to dressing up I have taken to rocking a bow tie at work more days than not. Also imo when you dress up you need to have a suit jacket or at least a blazer.
