i call it the fun killer so i turn it off everytime i get behind the wheel of my s4. but it is always automatically on unless turned off. So it is your choice.

the ESP Stand for Electronic stability program.
meaning: Traction Control.
for conditions where you dont wanna have fun, you just wanna be safe, leave it on.

The way you worded that second sentence makes me wonder if you know when it's on or off... It is, by default, on. When you press the button, and the light comes on in your cluster, that is telling you that it is OFF.

I only turn it off when I'm playing in the snow... otherwise, it's always on. I figure if something were to make me swerve unexpectedly, ESP will be able to handle the car better than I could. It is a very, very powerful system.

LOL, yeah I like AWD drifting at 85 mph. You need ESP off to do that kind of stuff. HAHAHAHA

^ hahaha so true. whats really fun (kind of cheating in my opin ion but it still works) is if you came to a u turn and you turn off esp, then you just mash it around the corner the *** end will hang out like a rear wheel drive, then she'll snap back into line as soon as the front wheels have caught up. tons of fun, probably pretty hard on the equipment though.

Have you ever driven through a snow storm? I'm not talking about pushing the car to its limits on city streets... I was really referring to winter driving. When you drive through snow/ice, you find new appreciation for the technology behind ESP.
