This happened to TomRitt. I wonder where that dude is... he's a good guy.

It did happen to TomRitt, I work with him at Rennline. Actually, he sorta got me the job.

Currently building up a nasty 1.8T AWD rabbit. Looks sweet.

I'll tell him to post an update.

yeah, brain fart that theres an IC in there... still wouldn't have been fun to be picking turbo bits out of piping and end tank.

I told him to come on and update, but we're super busy at the shop, and it looks like it's going to get insanely worse, so I dunno if he will. Im only on here when I punch out after, on average... 5-6hr of OT. Neither of us have the internet at our apartments, Im too cheap, and he lives too far down a dead end road for a decent connection, so its pretty much just the after hrs crap at the shop that we're online.

I can tell you that the A4 is still truckin, nothing new. His modding focus is on the AWD rabbit, and it's quite the project.

I saw that rabbit, I think... though making it AWD wasn't on the radar when I last saw him.
Where is Rennline?

Yeah, Tom was on a few months back with a project update, the car has advanced since then. He bought a Passat G60 Syncro and tore the driveline out of it.

Rennline is currently in Winooski VT, but within a few weeks we should be moved to a brand new building in Milton VT. Much bigger, lots more toys.

Website lists no turbos for A4's... I'm in the market for something biggish for my 02 A4. Might just end up with a K04 + manifold... but we'll see.

an update for you guys. turbo went to fp to see what happened. im told there was dirty oil that went into the turbo and some particle got crushed in the bearings. my fault im told. they are being cool about it and covering half of the repair cost! should be back here in a week or so. oh ya im installing a small oil filter in the oil line so this wont happen again, thanks fp for the quick turn around and covering half the cost
