So winter tires aren't practical, then?

I dunno, I've used those same tires before... they were mediocre in the summer, and absolute trash in the snow.

the plus ones? i thought they just came out? i will give them a try but i burn though tires so fast if i dont like them they will be gone soon enough. yes the tires stick out some and i have to roll the fenders if i want to have people sit in the back seat.

Touche, I have not used the "Plus" model, and actually just noticed that myself. The tread looks very much the same, though. Is the "plus" a different compound or something?

They'll definitely work just fine in the summer (your car has gobs of traction with AWD and effin 10" wide tires), but I'd be very very careful if you ever find yourself on snow/ice. And regardless, you've got Michelin quality... I like buying brand name tires because I have never had issues with them bubbling at the sidewall or separating or anything.
I'm on Goodyear F1 GS-D3's this spring. I've yet to mount them, but they look mean. Skinny little 235/35/19's

i read that the plus meant the tires are 85% summer performance and 15% all season. i just wanted the ability to drive in the snow in a worst case situation. with summer tires i could never drive home because of the risk of snow or ice in the winter

Problem is, a tire that wide will float on the snow. I wouldnt intentionally drive in snow with them. It could turn out pretty nasty.
Otherwise, awesome. Fat tires FTW (in non snow conditions)

ok well it took longer than expected to find time to install the turbo. it went in just fine and tuning was easy (all i had to do was drive). my buddy tuned it for me and it made some wicked power about 500whp. car flew like a bat out of hell. drove it home and was giving my friend a ride and then it went... sounds like a piece of metal in a blender. took the intake hose off and there are deep groves in the compressor housing. **** blew it in less than 30 miles. fvck its 12 at night and im pissed off where is my bottle of jack?
