Default EGR from Cummins diesel engines

Hey everyone, I've been hearing about the benefits of removing the EGR from Cummins diesel engines. Can anyone share their experiences or insights on this? Is it really worth considering?

Hi! Removing the EGR from Cummins diesel engines can indeed offer several advantages. The EGR system recirculates exhaust gases, which can lead to carbon buildup, reduced fuel efficiency, and potential engine issues over time. By installing a 6.7 cummins delete kit, you can eliminate these problems. The kit typically includes components like a delete pipe, cooler block-off plates, and a tuner to optimize your engine's performance. This can result in improved fuel economy, increased power, and reduced maintenance costs. However, be aware that removing the EGR might have legal and emissions implications, depending on your location. Make sure to research your local regulations before proceeding.

Always consult with a professional mechanic or expert before making significant changes. Start with basic maintenance and regular servicing to ensure optimal performance.
