Early christmas for me
New parts for my Jetta project came in the mail today:
Bosal 4-2-1 street header
Techtonics tuning high flow catalytic converter
Techtonics tuning 260 degree cam (mild, but still performance)
Gonna bolt it up to my 2.25" Techtonics tuning cat back.
The best part about all these parts is that they bolt right up to the 95 Jetta 2.0 engine I'm buying.
Pics up as soon as I take them.

RE: Early christmas for me
I'm going N/A with the build - so far my plans are as follows:
cam (I'll probably go with a more aggressive cam than 260 later in the build)
header
test pipe (after smog passes, then I'm just gonna get one I can swap in and out)
stand alone engine management
high compression pistons
individual throttle bodies
Alot of people swap a DOHC 16v head from either a 1.8L 16v (PL) or 2.0L 16v (9A), especially when doing turbo setups. The PL head also lowers the compression ratio, setting you up for a turbo setup. A reliable source and good friend of mine, some one into VW performance, explained to me that the 8v head actually flows better, and in some cases is better suited to n/a build ups.
Right now I'm offering $120 to this guy on the VW Vortex for a 2.0 ABA block, head, oil pan, and a few extras. No pistons, not sure on the valve situation. Another good thing about the 8v head is that it is non-interference = no bent valves.
