RE: Dynolicious
This is an awesome idea. I always thought iPhones were a huge waste of money, but they seem to be proving their usefulness. Good deal.
I bet there's a way to modify that program to pick up readings from a wii remote's accelerometers and then send those readings via the wii remote's blue tooth to another type of phone for interpretting results... I'm going to talk to my EE/CS buddy about this. Could be a neat project.

I bought it last night and took the my B5 A4 out for a spin to see what it would do. I input the weight at 3434 w/ driver (close?) and drivetrain loss I put at 0 to get wheel hp instead of crank my results:
0-60: 7.99 seconds
60': 2.6 @ 25.9mph
1/8 mile: 10.53 @ 67.5 mph
1/4 mile: 16.16 @ 88.8 mph
it calculated 193 whp
0-60: 7.99 seconds
60': 2.6 @ 25.9mph
1/8 mile: 10.53 @ 67.5 mph
1/4 mile: 16.16 @ 88.8 mph
it calculated 193 whp

And for those who dont have an iphone...Cheap and easy 0-60...I simply mounted a digital camera in my car, played the vid in slow-mo, looking @ the tach & speedo, Comparing the elapsed time of movement(on the speedo) and the needle hitting 60mph.

I bought it, but I botched the run. The car drifted slightly before take-off and it read things all f'ed up. I will report more on my findings when I can get a nice, clear, safe, stretch of decent road to play on.

He said he input drive train loss as 0.....this would mean whp is the same as chp since there is no loss in the drive train......

This is old... but it says input 0% to get wheel hp... Its accurate if you actually weigh your car... I should be going to a drag stip in a week or so in Muncie I will try it out more while I am there and compare times. Just going cuz I was invited I am not expect to win any races haha.
