normally i do not judge but you buddy should not be trying that ...in that
ummmm ok ... first thing... you cannot drift a focus. You can "slide" a focus.

Second if i pick up a na awd car for 800 bucks .... tryind to perform a "awd drift" would be damn hard on anything stickier the then center Ice when the redwings play

Besides if i wanted to do some Awd drifting I'd prolly use my s6... but drifting is way hard on cars ...they have a shelf life of 2 yrs max b4 they are whacked out align and never drive straight again

i just want a lil project to beat the tar out of

ok you can agree with whoever you want It doesnt bother me one bit really

all that matters in the end is if im happy with it so I dont see any point in argueing my point "why i want to drift an audi"
the only point i will give is at allthe drift event I've been to i have seen evos, wrx's, and even a few toyota corolla wags ... all converted to rwd tearing it up on the track sideways... and i thought "It'd be sweet to make a audi drift car"

just wait though .. in two months there will be a cira early 90's audi drift car buil in this forum ;P

Thumbs up

I know this may not sound as fun but I took my A4 Quattro to an Ice track once to drift it.It's actually pretty fun to see an Audi drifting so If you build a real drifting Audi I would love to see some pics.

Drifting can be alot of fun, some people just dont like it and try to push that onto others.

As long as your not doing it on public roads endangering people its cool with me, and i would love to see this project.

there's a guy on audizine who actually did a big block swap and it's RWD. i think you should do it with RWD but keep it in the family. also i think a turbo quattro coupe would be the best platform. it's a hatch that kind of looks like an 86. i say go for it with all you got and show us what you're made of

Ive heard about the ice track stuff and it looks fun as hell so i will def go check that situation out maybe get some good seat time in the s6

but no i deffinetly do not encourage "street racing" of any kind ... lose one friend and it's pretty sour from then on ... now where i work i can get my jollys off in a big dirt lot and its free... so yeah

i am leaning toward a turbo car ... but finding one for "cheap" that runs ...ok pretty hard pickin in colorado :\

I see that you live in Colorado also. You can find an ice track in GeorgeTown,Colorado. It's About 1hr and 30mins from Denver going West on I-70.It's dominated by Jeeps but you find all sorts of AWD vehicles on it.

hey we have a well know guy call TheRussian who lives in colorado. if you do a search for a 4.2 swap and look for his name as the OP, you'll see some vids and pix. if you need support, he's your best bet
