I use Conoco and Phillips. Both of those compnaies buy oil form the company I work for. And those stats are somewhat outdated as oil is going for closer to $120/barrel now.

 

Jus buy American gas. Sunoco doesn't import middle eastern oil.

people try these quite often.. I doubt one can be organised thats big enough to have a significant enough effect

 

The ONLY way to win this is to get EVERYONE(impossible) to not buy from the three largest companies. I only get Hess or BP. Eventually the big guys will have to drop prices to atract consumers and the smaller guys will follow. Basic idea.

 

True, but at least that money goes back into our economy and not Saudi Arabia/Kuwait/U.A.E. ect.

 

and you would think places next to ports (like south FL) would be cheaper since not as much is involved in transporting the gas and yet its more expensive down there than places in the middle of the country.

 

This is funny u know exxon posted almost 11,000,000,000 dollars profit in the first 12 weeks WOW they are setting a record pace it is crazy.. And still wall street was not happy with the earnings posted by exxon. Personally I am tired of paying $4 a gallon i dont know about u... but do we have any other choice??
